  All Routine

Your putter needs to be your best friend if you really want those extra shots to go away.  One tip is to come up with a routine you can follow over and over again.  This is something that can be totally uniquely you, but it should entail a few things.  It should involve a good read of the line, a few practice strokes with your eyes fixed on whatever it is your aiming for.  Other than that you can do almost anything you want to feel comfortable.  Just practice it and make it the same over and over again, weather it is a 3 footer or a 30 footer.  You'll find that you make more putts expecially the short ones.
