  Good Practice Habits

In my time around around golf I have seen and evern been one of those people who work very hard and don't seem to get anywhere. Part of this is the way we go about practicing.  Sitting on a driving range and smacking golf ball after golf ball mindlessly is one of the worst things we can do.  Every shot has a purpose on the golf course, it needs to be the same on the range.  This is all part of preparing to play our best.

When we should always have a line on the ground pointing perfectly at our target.  On top of that we should always monitor our ball position and our balance.  If your going to hang out and beat balls you may as well take every precaution to do it right.  This is a controlled environment and will help you constantly take steps forward within your golf swing rather than the oh so common one step forward and two steps back all the time.

Within this make sure you take a few golf balls and hit them EXACTLY AS IF YOU WERE ON THE COURSE.  Come up with a situation in your head, go through your routine and execute as if you were on the golf course.

So work on whatever it is you are working on from a controlled environment, then take some time and put yourself in a "game situation".  All of this will go a long way to making you the consistent player you have always wanted to be.
